It's ABeautiful Day 는 동 시대 록그룹 Doors, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane 등이
60년대 후반 싸이키델릭 시대의 들끊는 에너지와 몽롱한 환각 상태에서
히피들의 이상향과 자신들의 사상을 소리치고 있을때,
심미적 혜안과 이지적인 가사와 포크 록적인 사운드로
선율의 수려함과 목가적 일상의 담담한 모습들을 외치며 지성파 이상주의자 들을 열광시켰다.
그들의 데뷔 앨범인 It's a Beautiful Day (1969)는 비록 상업적으로는 실패한 앨범이지만
미 대학가를 중심으로 학생들과 지성인들에게는 엄청난 인기를 얻은 음반이자,
해산한 지 40여년이 지난 오늘날 까지도 많은 매니아들을 거느리고 있는
명그룹 It's A Beautiful Day의 신화를 창조하게 된 명반이다
