1958년 뉴욕에서 태어난 CCM 가수 캐시 트로콜리가 1991년에 대중적인 성공을 거둔

두 가수의 파급력으로 미국의 CCM 음악이 세계적으로 주목을 받았고,

1980년대 초반에 에이미 그랜트 남편 형인 댄 해럴의 도움으로 CCM 계에 입문한

캐시 트로콜리에게도 드디어 기회가 주어졌다.

 버클리 음대에서 재즈와 오페라를 전공한 캐시 트로콜리는

블루 아이드 소울 여가수 테일러 데인이나 알앤비 싱어 아니타 베이커를 떠올리는

알토 톤의 보이스로 노래를 기름지게 장식하며 가창실력을 인정받았다

이후에도 20여 장의 CCM 음반을 꾸준히 발표했다는 사실만으로도

캐시 트로콜리가 히트곡 하나에 좌초되지 않은, 뿌리 깊은 나무임을 증명한다.
